A Day In The Life

2021 | Mississauga, Canada

In a world of isolation, all that remains for human connection is technology. From the transfer of in-person classes to Zoom lectures and the limitations of households, what do we have left but our reliance on electricity? We’re always using it in one form or another; it’s become essential to our everyday lives.

The axonometric drawing depicts the prominence of electricity in our daily lives and follows how the city’s electric current might travel throughout a day. Electricity extends beyond households and weaves onto the streets into public areas. Since one neighbourhood is such a small part of the larger city, the currents running off the page imply the continuation of electricity beyond these borders.
