UltraMarina
2021 | NonArchitecture Waterless World Competition
In a post-water crisis world, a floating city sits in the North Pacific Ocean Gyre - built from repurposed materials sourced from the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. UltraMarina features self-sustaining neighbourhoods retrofitted with systems that rely on rainwater harvesting, filtering ocean water, and reusing treated water. Built to outlast the future, the floating pods are modular and can be easily expanded if necessary, making UltraMarina the future blueprint of urban living in a water-scarce world.
